Watch PTCL Smart TV on your PC/Laptop/Phone

If you are a PTCL Broadband customer or a Smart TV subscriber, good news for all you can watch PTCL Smart TV on your computer, laptop or even on your phone.

Broadband users will have to activate their Smart TV PC app service first which is Rs 250 per month while users already subscribed to PTCL Smart TV can avail this service absolutely free. This service started at Rs 50 per month for the month of April and now only broadband users may be charged Rs 250/month.

Users have to download and install the PC application first on their PC and then there are some settings that need to be done in your router. People who use broadband only service have to install the app and call 1236 to subscribe to the service first and only then the app will work. Already subscribed users just need to install the app and do the settings in your router for the app to work.

Features:

• There is no device for Smart TV PC app and no device fee. Works on your PC/Laptop using your existing broadband connection.
• Running this app simultaneously on multiple laptops/computers will not work.
• VODs are not available in the Smart TV PC app. The Smart TV app only provides live channel streaming.
• TSTV is not available with the Smart TV PC app
• All channels are in digital quality.
• Smart TV PC App will be totally free with Smart TV Jadoo Plus and Smart TV.
• Customers can switch from Smart TV PC app service to Smart TV or Smart TV Jadoo Plus. Includes opt-out of the Smart TV app and new subscription to new services.

Download instructions:

• Download the official PTCL app here:

• Install the app on your PC/Laptop.
• Open your router configuration by going to http://192.168.1.1/ and after logging in first of all in administration section backup your current router settings so that you have a backup of it if you do something wrong.
• Download the official configuration for modem settings by PTCL from here:

• After completing all the settings, launch the Smart TV app and enjoy all the channels in HD.

Mobile users:

• For Android or IOS mobile users, you need to install MX player or VLC players first on your phone.
• After installing it download the following channel list from here:
• 

• Rename this file from .M3U extension to .short message
• Open this channel list in a text editor on your phone and copy the UDP address of any channel you want to run like udp://@239.194.0.104:6104
• Now open MX player and press the menu button and click on Network Stream.
• Paste the UDP address into the box and turn it on
• You have to copy the title all the time manually as there is no launcher on android that supports opening the entire playlist yet.
