Starting on Friday night, The Great Karma Effect brings their sparkling mix of classic 70s hard rock and soul to the festival, and the London quintet has quickly risen to public interest since forming two years ago. With whiskey-laced swagger and a mile-long deep groove, the five friends struck gold with their musical style, drawing comparisons to bands like the Black Crowes and drawing rave reviews from the likes of Classic Rock magazine who said “This is the kind of solid, hockey-rock-n-roll that Any ’70s throwback group has to aspire to these days.” With a critically acclaimed debut album under their belts and groundwork lined up for their sophomore release, the band has been busy traveling highways and byways, bringing their gorgeous organic thunder to faces up and down the country, and doing things the hard way. These boys are going over the top and their opening set will definitely be one of those “I was there when…” moments.

Keira Mack is making massive waves with this rousing five-piece from Stoke on Trent, playing broadscreen and gritty hard rock with a touch of blues and more than a little fire. With Kira (aka Rhiannon Hill) melodic and hoarse at the forefront of the band, it was a dash of verticality that made them win the hearts and minds of connoisseurs of quality music. A perfect blend of cuteness and seduction, the group has carved out quite a name for themselves, all propelled by hook-filled beats and live adrenaline shows. Going from whispering to screaming, Kira gets excited as the rest of the band rips apart, Alex Novakovic’s big beams are a force to be reckoned with and the whole unit is wonderfully taut but loose. With a touch of Southern Rock and a huge drive, Kira Mac is bound to move your feet and grip your body and soul as anyone who saw them live or heard for the first time on “Chaos is Calling” will attest. This freight train doesn’t stop, so it’s just a case of deciding whether to hop aboard and enjoy the ride or stay out of the way.

Stonedead is headlining the night, thrilled to announce that legendary rock band SKIN are back on stage in what promises to be an incendiary performance that will go down in festival history. Created by guitarist Myke Gray in 1993, SKIN has become acclaimed as one of the bands to see, their propulsive, well-crafted material and engaging live performances receiving worldwide critical and public acclaim. Signing a major record and management deals gave them the space to spread their wings even further, and with Gray penned classics like House of Love, Tower of Strength, Take Me Down To The River, and Shine Your Light, they quickly became a constant feature on TV screens and in magazines.

With touring alongside the likes of Little Angels, Thunder and Bon Jovi, the band are no strangers to hard work, and their commitment to their craft is second to none. With the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut, there’s reason to celebrate, and SKIN are set to take the opportunity to blow the roof off at Stonedead. Hungry and strong as ever, the band will no doubt make time over the past decade, having last been together in May 2013, to show exactly why they are still so highly regarded as master craftsmen, leading down the path that countless others have followed. in their footsteps. The original and the best, this exceptional skin offer will be very special indeed and not to be missed at any cost. Shout out loud, in Stonedead 2023, the Gods of Rock are back.
